One-Sided Contests:


The contests in the stronghold of the two major parties were almost one-sided. The one-sided votes cast in favour of candidates were in the strongholds of parties, Ashanti Region for NPP, and Volta Region for NDC.

Very Close Contests:

A total of 28 constituencies had results where the difference between the winning candidate and the next candidate was less than 1000 votes. The closest victory was won by Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus-Glover (NPP) who had 30,075 votes, three (3) votes more than that of Robert Kempes Papa Nii Ofosuware (NDC) who had 30, 072 votes. Foster Joseph Andoh (NDC) won the Hemang-Lower Denkyira seat with 13,178 votes, 31 votes more than obtained by Lawrence Agyinsam (NPP).

The Tatale/Sanguli seat was won by James C. Yanwube with 7,037 votes more than Thomas Brepong Laten (IND). The Bortianor-Ngleshie Amanfro seat was won by Bright Edward Kodzo Demordzi (NDC) with 23,014 votes, 188 votes more than the 22,826 votes obtained by Adjetey Larbie (NPP). Siaka Stevens (NPP) won the Jaman North seat with 14,920 votes, 202 votes more than the 14,718 votes obtained by Alex Asum-Ahensah (NDC). Mohammed Salisu Bamba (NPP) won the Ejura-Sekyedumase seat with 21,461, 295 vote more than Mohammed Issifu Pangabu (NDC)
