Nancy Pelosi and her entourage would put spot light on Ghana---Shirley Ayorkor

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey has said the visit of the Speaker of the United States of America and her entourage to Ghana would put a spot light on the nation.

According to the Foreign Minister the Speaker would be in the country with a large entourage of between thirty and forty and the international media’s coverage would put the spot light on Ghana.

She further pointed out that Ministry of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Creative Arts in collaboration with government had declare this year ‘a year of return’ to mark four hundred anniversary of the slaves that left the shores of West Africa.

The slaves went to the Americas which is West Virginia currently in the United States of America, and it is going to make the year of return meaningful which would draw attention on Ghana, she stated.
“Thousands of people would come to Ghana especially those of African linage and would be expose to the Ghanaian culture, where they would visit the forts and castles, it is going to do a lot of for our tourism”.
