Bank of Ghana to appear before PAC today

Public Account Committee of Parliament would today have the Bank of Ghana appearing before it this morning June 23, 2020  first of its public hearing after the lockdown was lifted.   

The Committee would examine the report of the Auditor General on the mid year ended 30th June to 31st December 2017 on the statement of foreign exchange receipts and payment of the Bank of Ghana end. 

The Committee started its hearing 10:30am on June 23 2020 with ten members in attendance out of the twenty member committee, with strict observation of social distance.

In an earlier interview with, Chairman of the Committee noted that they would start public hearing today just to observe how things would go in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic, and if things go well they would continue.  

He further pointed out that the Committee would want to ensure that the protocols are observed strictly hence not all the media practitioners in Parliament would be allowed in Committee room 1 & 2.
