MPs in ECOWAS Parliament must get use to virtual session---Humado

A member of Ghana’s delegation to the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Parliament, Clement Kofi Humado has noted that lawmakers must get use to virtual sessions in view of the novel coronavirus pandemic.

According to him the corona virus is not going away any time soon and his colleagues would just have to get use to the virtual sessions as once a while there would be physical sessions like is being planned for Sierra Leon.

“We can be mixing the virtual sessions with physical meetings as virtual sessions also save the Community Parliament some monies on their budget, which include air travel, hotel accommodation, and cost of printing reports”, which he added would inure to the benefit of the Parliament.

Mr. Humado made this remarks in an interview when wanted to know how the Community parliament can deal with the frequent interference from lawmakers, where Rt. Hon. Tunis has to be asking members to “mute, mute, mute”.
