Mr. John Frimpong Osei who was addressing the first ordinary meeting of the fourth session of the sixth Assembly of Abirem North District Assembly also disclosed that a lot more homes are being registered for meters and added that high tension polls are also being installed in other parts of the district to increase electricity coverage in the district.
The MP who outlined development projects he had embarked on, and those yet to be completed expressed optimism that the people will see a lot of improvement when all the projects are completed and they would bring great socio-economic development to the citizenry.
Mr. John Osei Frimpong Osei praised the Assembly for increasing their internally generated funds, a departure from the past when the Assembly’s IGF was low.
He reminded the people of the need to prioritize education to prepare the young ones for the job market, adding “since our lands are getting out of our hands and going to the mining communities, we can substitute it for education, we have all to involve ourselves so that we get scholarship to help especially towns under the Newmont communities”, he added.
