Parliament is expected to reconvene on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, after going on recess in August 2017, the Majority leader said in an interview.
Bills to be presented before the House includes the Special Prosecutor Bill, 2017 and Zongo Development Fund, 2017.
According to the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, various stakeholders have presented their views and position on the creation of the special prosecutor Bill, 2017.
The committee is expected to embark on some outside trips to understudy what pertains in other jurisdictions, the committee has been divided into three; one group will be in Canada, the other in Singapore while the last group will be in South Africa.
President Akufo-Addo is seeking legal backing to cede some of the prosecutorial powers to the Attorney General to another office. This is to enable head of that office a bold bark to deal with corruption which mainly politicians and public office holders are found of.
