The Executives and the entire members of the Tertiary Education Students Confederacy of NPP of the University of Education, Winneba have formally declared their support for the Member of Parliament for Effutu Constituency, Hon. Lawyer Alex Afenyo –Markins on his decision to contest for the parliamentary seat again in election 2016.
This was contained in a release signed by the Tescon President elect, Oppong Afriyie Joseph and copied to the media.
According to the release the MP at the national level has been fighting against corruption as he blew the lid on gross mismanagement and corruption at the Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA) which became a topical issue for most part of 2014 and also exposed the overspending by the office of the chief of staff.
The Member of Parliament in his quest to fights against injustices in society has also helped in the undertaking of several projects in the Effutu Municipality, the statement said.
It further stated that, Hon. Markins has exhibited ethical qualities of leadership that TESCON – UEW and the good people of Effutu ought to give him the nod again as the Member of Parliament for Efffutu Constituency.
At the local level, he has contributed to the development of the area in all sectors of the economy to ensure everybody benefit.
