The Member of Parliament for Nkwanta South, Gershon Kofi Gbediame says there are tight investigations being carried out to smoke out the killers of the Nkwanta South District Chief Executive (DCE) Peter Kojo Kenyenso.
He said the perpetrators of this heinous crime will certainly not go scot free, as such measures are currently in place to get to the bottom of the matter.
Mr. Gbediame however, in an interaction with ghanamps.gov.gh today said he quiet believed the preliminary investigations carried by the Police which depicted that the sorry incident might be a case of assassination.
The Police this morning in the Volta Region revealed that their preliminary investigations showed that the DCE was assassinated.
The sad incident threw the whole area into disarray yesterday, but “With the heavy presence of the Police and the Military everything is under control now. There is no cause for alarm and tensions have minimized considerably whiles the security is doing well to investigate the matter” he disclosed.
The DCE was killed by unknown assailants on Monday evening at his residence.
