Mr Peter Wiafe-Peprah, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Abetifi, has presented 25 computers and printers worth GH¢ 25,000 to selected Junior High Schools (JHS) in the Kwahu East District.
He said five other schools will receive theirs later to bring the number to 30.
Mr Peprah said Parliament gave the computers to some selected MPs to send them to their basic schools in their constituencies to help improve ICT training in schools.
He urged teachers in the beneficiary schools to put the computers to effective use to improve teaching and learning of ICT in basic schools.
Receiving the computers on behalf of the schools, Mr Albert Offei, Head of Inspection Directorate of the District Educational Office, thanked the MP for the gesture and gave assurance to put them into effective use.
