The people of the Ablekuma North Constituency have finally got a representative at the legislature following Friday’s rerun of 19 polling stations.
The candidate of the National Democratic Congress, Awurabena Aubynn turned things around for the NDC when she polled 34,090, as against the NPP candidate, Nana Akua Owusu Afriyie who obtained 33,881.
The Ablekuma North was the only outstanding Constituency to give the 9th Parliament a full complement of 276 Members of Parliament from the beginning of the year.
But with the demise of the Akwatia MP, Ernest Kumi recently, a bye-election lies ahead in a few days to get a replacement.
