Minister of Defense Dr. Omane Boamah has told Parliament that the Presidential jet Falcon 900E was unavailable on Thursday, May 2, 2025, when the Vice President Professor Jane Nana Opoku Agyeman returned from her trip from abroad.
Old Tafo Member of Parliament Vincent Ekow Assafuah wanted to know whether the presidential jet was available or assigned to other duties for which the Vice President had to return in a private jet after treatment abroad.
Dr. Boamah further told the House the aircraft has been undergoing a twenty-four monthly or thousand six hundred fly hour inspection in France since March 11 this year after series of postponement when the jet was to return to Ghana.
He stated that due to risk multifocal massive defect identified and being worked on, inspection is supposed to be completed by July 31st this year; “the jet was not available when the vice president returned to Ghana”.
