As whispered earlier, the Minority Caucus in Parliament staged a walkout of the 2025 Mid-year budget review.
They walked out just when the Speaker announced the readiness of the Finance Minister Dr Cassiel Ato Forson to take the stage to deliver the budget review.
The Minority Chief Whip, Annoh Dompreh earlier sought an audience from the Speaker to deliver a statement before the Finance Minister took the stage and was duly granted.
However, few minutes into his submission, he was stopped by the Speaker, Rt. Hon Alban Sumana Bagbin when he realized the Minority Chief Whip was delving into the Ablekuma North electoral violence.
Even though the Rt Hon. Speaker acknowledged the importance of the topic he was speaking on, he added that the time was not appropriate, and that he would devote a whole day to speak on that.
After this, Mr Annoh Dompreh led his colleagues out of the chamber.
