Engage Africa Now Foundation in partnership with the Member of Parliament for North Tongu Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has commissioned a new maternal and child health clinic in Juapong in the North Tongu constituency.

According to the MP the facility was built and equipped within six months, “I also donated all the medical equipment required to make the health facility operational from today”, the MP noted.

This facility has the capacity for 3,000 safe deliveries in a year and would tremendously improve maternal health outcomes.

He took the opportunity to announce other approved projects in North Tongu which include:

1) Construction of the Aveyime-Asutsuare Road;
2) Construction of the Juapong-Podoe-Abutia Road;
3) Construction of the Sege-Battor-Mepe Road;
4) Construction of the Volivo to Dorfor Adidome Bridge over the Volta River;
5) Construction of dormitories, dining halls, and labs in all 5 Senior High Schools;
6) Construction of a teachers’ bungalow.

“I have also made arrangements for all BECE candidates to check their results for free as the MP’s office takes up the cost”

He assured the good people of North Tongu that despite his demanding national and international commitments, there would be more projects and initiatives now more than any time in the past, he posted on his Facebook wall.

“My beloved North Tongu shall receive its fair share of development under President Mahama’s Reset Agenda and more to come”.
