Central Region takes its turn at public hearing of the Local Government Committee

The various Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) in the Central Region are before the Local Government and Rural Development Committee Day two of the on-going public hearing of the Committee.

Rt. Hon Speaker Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin referred the annual audit statement of the various MMDAs to the Committee to work on. Yesterday more than twenty MMDAs appeared before the Committee.

The common things which run through yesterday’s public hearing was how the Assemblies are going by the guidelines to ensure development at the various Assemblies, more especially continuing with legacy projects started by the past MMDAs and how they are utilizing their internally generated funds (IGF) for development at the local level.
