The parliamentary seat of kpandai Constituency has been declared vacant.
The Clerk to Parliament, Ebenezer Ahumah Djietror in a letter dated 4th December, 2025 officially notified the Electoral Commission (EC) about the vacant seat for the EC to initiate processes for a rerun of the parliamentary election.
The declaration of the vacant seat follows the November 24, 2025 Tamale High Court ruling which ordered a rerun of the parliamentary election in Kpandai.
The court determined that the irregularities and legal anomalies were significant enough to invalidate the previous result, necessitating a fresh poll.
“This notification is pursuant to the service of a court Order on the Clerk to Parliament as the 4th Respondent in the Suit Numbered: NR/TL/HC/E13/22/25”, the clerk stated.
