Fred Sebastian Deh, Member of Parliament for Kpando, says his primary role is to contribute to legislation and policy formulation that directly benefits his constituents.
In an interview with Ghanamps.com, the MP stated that his duty is to champion the dreams and aspirations of the nearly eighty thousand people he represents.
“I was elected to represent my people, so their vision is what I seek to advance,” Mr. Deh emphasized.
He highlighted that with a large youthful population in the constituency, a key focus must be on promoting economic development and growth.
“Ours is mainly an agricultural base. We need to engage in production that can be transformed into exportable products,” he said.
The MP pointed to several sectors with high potential, including the fishing industry and vegetable cultivation, noting that Kpando is already a major vegetable production area.
He also revealed promising developments for the local economy: “A private investor, in collaboration with all stakeholders, the District Assemblies, and government agencies, is moving into cocoa production. This partnership is set to give the sector a significant boost.”
