The presentation ceremony saw 79 teachers receive their laptops on the spot, while the remaining 21 beneficiaries will collect theirs upon reporting to their respective schools at the start of the new academic term.
Speaking at the event, the MP reiterated that the initiative is part of his unwavering commitment to improving education standards in the constituency. He emphasized that equipping teachers with modern technological tools is essential for enhancing teaching and learning outcomes in the digital age.
“This initiative is not just about providing hardware; it is about empowering our educators to deliver quality education in a technology-driven world,” Afenyo-Markin stated. “When our teachers have the right tools, they can prepare better lesson plans, access global educational resources, and ultimately shape a brighter future for our children.”
The “One Teacher, One Laptop” initiative is one of several education-focused interventions by the MP, who has consistently prioritized human capital development in the Effutu Constituency. Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the gesture, describing it as a timely intervention that would ease their transition into the teaching profession.
