The National Chief Imam has offered special prayers for President John Dramani Mahama, asking God to grant him vision and success in delivering projects that benefit all Ghanaians.

His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Osman Nuhu Sharubutu extended the prayers during a courtesy visit from the newly appointed Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Hon. Mahama Ayariga.

Prayer for Presidential Guidance

Through his spokesperson, the Chief Imam prayed: “President John Dramani Mahama, we pray for the President of the Republic of Ghana, God grant him his support and help.”

The spiritual leader specifically requested that God provide the President with:

  • Clear vision for national development
  • The ability to achieve his proposed projects
  • Success in initiatives that benefit all citizens

“Whatever ideas and projects that he decides to embark upon that will enure to the benefit of the whole citizens of the country, God grant him the vision, the achievement to be able to do that,” the Chief Imam added.

Prayers Extended Beyond Ghana’s Borders

The Chief Imam also offered prayers for peace in conflict-affected nations worldwide, demonstrating his commitment to global harmony.

Support for the President’s Team

The prayer concluded with blessings for the President’s supporters and those working alongside him: “All his supporters including his people who follow his footsteps, follow him, grant him the support to make him, his government successful.”

First Official Visit

Hon. Mahama Ayariga chose the Chief Imam’s palace as his first destination after being sworn in, seeking blessings to manage his extensive portfolio covering 261 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs), 16 regions, chieftaincy affairs, religious matters and sanitation.
