The Member of Parliament for Akyem Oda, Alexander Akwasi Acquah, has distributed educational materials and cash to more than 1,000 fresh Senior High School (SHS) students in the constituency.
The donation, the second phase of his educational support initiative, is intended to ease the financial burden on parents as their children enter SHS.
The items included plastic chop boxes, exercise books and provisions. In addition, each beneficiary received GHc1,500, while the overall best student received GHc2,000.

Speaking at a presentation ceremony in Akyem Oda, Acquah said education remains his top priority and that the support forms part of his commitment to investing in the future of young people in the constituency.
He urged the beneficiaries to take their studies seriously and remain disciplined in school to justify the investment being made in them.
Some beneficiaries who spoke to the media expressed profound gratitude to the MP, describing the support as timely and life-changing. They said the items and cash would help them settle in school.

Parents at the ceremony also commended the MP for his continued support for education in the area.
