Minority Leader Haruna Iddrisu has said the violence that characterizes the just ended Ayawaso West Wuogon cannot produce a Member of Parliament (MP).

According to the Minority Leader, unless the MP in question wants to be a product of violence outcome elections.

Mr. Haruna Iddrisu pointed out that the turn out of the just ended by-election was less than twenty (20) percent, turnout in the voter population of over eighty thousand, meant that the electorate were justifiably subjected to fear.

“This undermines our democratic growth, we would not accept anything short of identifying and punishing the perpetrators of violence, we are govern by the rule of law and no one is above the law”.

He further pointed out in an interview that the security agency were helpless, when party vigilante visited violence, “we are capable of responding equally, we want peace and stability of the country”.

“We want the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to identify all those in the vehicle who caused the violence in the by-election, the use of smart phone can aid investigation we all saw the video footage who did what”.
