Member of Parliament for the Ningo-Prampram constituency in the Greater Accra region, Samuel Nartey George has challenged District Assemblies in the country especially those in Greater Accra to take revenue collection from public toilets very seriously since the sector has the potential for higher returns.

The MPs advice follows allegations of mismanagement at some toilet facilities in the country especially within the Greater Accra region when officers from the Ga Central Municipal Assembly appear before the Public Accounts Committee hearing in Accra.

The 2016 Auditor General’s report revealed that an amount in excess of Ghc 90,000 of revenue from KVIP’s was mismanaged by the Ga Central Assembly due to poor supervision.

The Ningo-Prampram MP expressed displeasure about the seeming poor supervision which has become the order of the day at toilet facilities across the city.
