Member of Parliament for Adenta, Nii Ashie Moore, has donated Closed Circuit Television, (CCTV) Local area network and internet facility to the Police, Fire Service as well as the market complex of the Adenta Shopping Mall.

According to him, these two security services cannot be left in the cooler at a time where the world has become a global village due to the advancement of technology.

He noted that the availability of the internet facility will enable the security services to communicate with their colleagues anywhere in the world within the shortest possible time to source for information concerning their profession and day to day activities.

Speaking at the launch of the equipment, Hon Ashie Moore noted that the introduction of the CCTV, local area network is to enhance security in and around the market as well as other important installation, adding that these and other security arrangements are meant to protect life and property, while it also assist the officers to detect any occurrences beyond the human watch within the vicinity and its environs.

He recalled the unfortunate recent spate of market fires across the country that destroyed properties worth millions of Ghana cedis resulting in many traders going out of business.

“ We thank God our sisters and mothers in the market did not experience such unpleasant situation, we cannot sit aloof and allow events to take us by surprise hence the installation of CCTV to give us 24/7 monitoring system for early detection of fire, theft and suspicious movement of people in this vicinity’’ Hon Ashie Moore noted.

Additionally, he presented 1 polytank, 10 pieces of student matress, sing boards and 5 sets of office desk and furniture to the Sraha Police Post which is within the Adenta Municpality.

The security services who were ably represented expressed their gratitude to the MP and urged other corporate and public spirited individuals to support the security agencies in the efficient discharge of their duties.
