Osahen Alexander Afenyo-Markin has filed fresh defamation suits against Mr. Eric Adjei, Chief Executive of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), and Mr. Sammy Gyamfi, Chief Executive of the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod).
The fresh legal action against Mr. Adjei follows the discontinuance of an earlier suit at the Achimota Circuit Court on Wednesday morning. A new writ, Suit No. GJ/0061/2027, was subsequently filed at the Accra High Court in the afternoon over the substantive matter of alleged defamatory statements made by Mr. Adjei on Peace FM.
In a separate action, another writ, Suit No. GJ/0045/2027, was filed at the Accra High Court on Thursday, October 15, 2026, against Mr. Sammy Gyamfi. That suit concerns alleged defamatory statements made by Mr. Gyamfi during the Government Accountability Series and on JOY FM’s Newsfile programme.
In a press statement, Afenyo-Markin’s solicitor, F. Paa Kwesi Abaidoo, Esq., said the new writs were issued on the firm instructions of his client and in accordance with the High Court’s latest interpretation of the rules, although he disagreed with the court’s earlier decision setting aside the previous writ.
