The Member of Parliament (MP) for Agona West, Mr Samuel Kweku Obodai, on Saturday presented a generating power plant to Agona Nyakrom Health Centre to facilitate health delivery to the people.

Making the presentation, Mr Obodai said he had earlier donated three generating plants to the Agona Abodom, Kwamang and Agona Nkum health centers.

He said there was the need to support health facilities in the area to enable them to effectively deliver health for the people and provided streetlights worth 5,000 Ghana Cedis to replace faulty ones at Agona Abodom.

Mr Obodai said efforts were being made to rearward terminated road contracts in the Agona West Municipality to competent contractors.

He said funds from his share of the MP Common Fund have been set aside for the construction of durbar grounds at Agona Abodom for social gatherings.

Mr Obodai said a building has been made available for use as Police barracks at Nyakrom to help solve accommodation problems facing the police.

He said work on a community Centre and library for Nyakrom would be completed by the end of the year to promote education in the area.

Nana Okofo Katakyi Nyako Eku X, Omanahene of Nyakrom Traditional Area, called for the establishment of a College of Education in the town for which land had been earmarked and asked the government to create a district for the Nyakrom area to facilitate development.
