In a bid to improve on the quality of health delivery in his area, the Member of Parliament for Ahafo Ano South West, Johnson Kweku Adu has started the process of providing a paediatric ward for the Mankranso District Hospital.

The facility when completed will be a huge source of relieve for the patrons of the hospital, as the unavailability of the ward has created a lot of discomfort to patients especially children who are admitted to the health centre.

Speaking to GhanaMPs.gov.gh, Hon. Johnson Kweku Adu disclosed that he had released an amount of GHc 50,000 from his share of NHIS facility for MPs to be channelled to the construction of the ward, with work expected to commence by mid February.

He noted that the absence of the children’s ward has resulted in a situation where children on admission have no option than to share the same wards and other facilities with the elderly, a situation which does not augur well for the children’s speedy recuperation.

Hon. Johnson Kweku Adu said he remained committed to ensuring that his constituents receive the best of health care promising to do everything within his capability to realize his aim, adding that a healthy people is key to ensuring development in any given area.
