The Member of Parliament for Akim Oda Constituency, Hon. Quaittou Agyapong William has stated that plans are far advanced to commence a major rehabilitation works on the Akim Oda Government Hospital to improve health delivery in the area.

Hon. Quaittou Agyapong disclosed this in an interview with GhanaMPs.gov.gh and added that his recent visit to the facility revealed a host of findings and challenges facing the hospital that needed to be resolved without delay.

According to him, roof at some departments and offices including that of the recovery ward leaked very badly, further adding that the hospital’s Theater will also be upgraded to fit modern standard.

“I was very sad to know that even the roof at the recovery ward of the hospital leaks very seriously whereas the hospital’s theater also needs to be upgraded. So this tells you we have a lot to do as far as renovating the facility is concern” he asserted.

Meanwhile, the MP also noted that funds will also be raised from his own share of the MPs common fund to complete a new mechanized borehole project to ensure regular water supply to the hospital.
