The Member of Parliament for Madina-Abokobi, Amadu Sorogho has lost his seat to the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Parliamentary candidate, Boniface Abubakar Saddique.Hon. Sorogho who has been in Parliament since 2005, was defeated by Boniface Abubakar Saddique who served as the Minister of Water Resources Works and Housing under the erstwhile Kufour administration. He was also once the Member of Parliament for Salaga in the Northern Region.
Mr Sorogho is currently the Chairman of the Prisons Service Council.
