The late Member of Parliament (MP) for Amenfi West in the Western Region, John Gyetuah, whose sudden demise occurred at the 37 Military Hospital a month ago will be laid to rest in his hometown, Asankre-Breman, on December 12, 2015.
He is expected to be laid in state on Friday, December 11, 2015 for the public to pay their last respect before proceeding to burry him the following day.

A thanksgiving service for the spirit of the departed soul will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2015.
This came to light when the MP for Amenfi Central, George Kofi Arthur, led delegation of the Agona family to officially inform the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Edward Doe Adjaho, about the demise of their illustrious son and arrangements for his final funeral rites.
Minority Leader, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu who was part of the Parliamentary delegation that received the family described late MP who served as a Minister of State at the Presidency as calm but hardworking man who was always focused in whatever he was doing.
Majority Leader, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, on his part said he was shocked when he received the news of the demise of his bosom friend.
He desbribed the late Gyetuah as a “typical grassroot politician” who never joked with his work.
The Speaker on his part also described the late MP as a decent politician who always spoke with passion on issues concerning his constituency and the Western Region.
“The Hon. Gyetuah is someone who when it comes to issues about the Western Region, you will never get him on your side. He was also concerned about the development of the Western Region. During his days as a Minister of State, he was one person who was always asking his fellow ministers questions about his constituency and the Western Region even though our Standing Orders do not permit that. That tells you how passionate he was on matters concerning the Western Region,” he said.
Rt. Adjaho therefore promised the family that Parliament will do whatever it can to ensure that the late MP is giving a befitting burial.
