The outgoing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Ahafo Ano South, Mr. Stephen Balado Manu, has hit back at the founder of the United Renaissance Party (UFP) Kofi Wayo for calling on the NPP to expel embattled Member of Parliament for Assin North, Ken Agyapong.

According to him, Kofi Wayo by his own comments over the years is not in a better position to speak on issues of morality adding that that NPP will not glorify his comments with a response.

Mr Kofi Wayo during a programme on Monday, urged the NPP to fire its Assin North MP for the ‘treasonable’ and inciting comments to send a clear message that it does not sanction comments and acts that will mar the success of the December elections.

However speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Tuesday, Balado Manu stated that Kofi Wayo would do himself a great service if he directs his energies on reviving his party which is in the state of coma to make it more effective in Ghana’s political discourse.

“If Kofi has some energy to expend he should channel it to making his party which is on political retirement more active to play a role in the upcoming elections’’ he said.

Hon. Balado Manu added that the people who are bent on using the unfortunate comments of Ken Agyapong for their own political gains especially as the general election beckons are bound to fail as Ghanaians are discerning enough to read through their mischief.
