Most communities and deprived areas in the Sagnarigu district that are not yet covered with potable water might towards the end of this year get access to pipe borne water.

This has been assured through a water project that is about to take off in the bi-water areas which are off the Tamale-Kumbungu road in the Northern region.

Member of Parliament for the area, Alhassan Bashir Fuseini who highlighted the project in an interview with Ghanamps.gov.gh said the project is set to begin by the end of this month, as pipe lines have already been procured to the earmarked communities to facilitate the project on-board.

Communities captured under the project like Kumbuyili, Kukuo, Malshegu and Kadariga amongst others are to be connected to the main lines that supply pipe borne water to the area so they could access potable water in the respective areas.

He said measures are in place to ensure easy access to potable water for residents, thus assured that the project will be extended to the areas that have not yet benefited from the project.
