The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Lower Manya Krobo, Michael Teye Nyaunu has said the party is bound to be voted out of power during the upcoming December general election unless the party is brought back on track.

According to him, defeat is starring the NDC in the face and may pay dearly at the polls if the party continuous to deviate from the principle of probity, accountability and social justice which were the pillars on which the NDC party was formed.

Speaking to ghnanamps.gov, Hon. Teye- Nyaunu stated that these three cardinal points especially the fight against corruption on which the party campaigned has been jettisoned by government officials and have resorted to corrupt practices as was mentioned by the former Attorney General.

“How can a structure be taken from its foundation and still expect that structure to be firm, it’s just impossible and that is exactly what the NDC party is doing’ he said.

“Look at the embarrassment that has greeted this government over the Woyome matter, with about five months to the elections and how awake Ghanaians are of late, I wonder why no serious efforts have been put in place to withdraw that money , a party with probity, accountability and social justice as its  ideals.

Hon. Teye Nyaunu who is an avowed critic of his own party and government said the NDC will do itself a lot of good and also improve its electoral fortunes if it returns to the June 4th ideals and govern by its tenets.
