The Majority leader and MP for Effutu constituency, Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin has urged teachers in his constituency to refrain from indoctrinating students with their political ideologies ahead of the upcoming polls.
According to him such practice polarizes the educational environment, creating acrimony among students.
He made these comments when some teachers from his constituency visited him at Parliament on Monday, June 10, 2024 where he shared those thoughts with them.
The teachers from Effutu Municipality visited him as part of his policy of one – teacher, one -laptop initiative which happens each year for all public school teachers in the municipality.
Mr. Afenyo Markin further charged the Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and the media in general to be professional in the discharge of their duties and also to hold the politicians to their words and promises to deliver on their mandates.
