As step towards deepening democracy and creating deeper understanding of the role of parliament and parliamentarians in development of the country, the Member of Parliament for Dormaa East, William Kwasi Sabi has organized series of meetings with his constituents to brief them on some activities in parliament.
Mr. Sabi said the briefing is a way of giving feedback to his constituents as their representatives at the legislature. The briefing he said centered wide range of issues discussed in parliament and decisions arrived at if any on various issues.
The MP is convinced the exercise is worth the time and energy since it provide platform for his constituents to appreciate and understand the direction of government. Equally important is the fact that he draws the constituents closer to the MP and mitigates agitations.
The Member of Parliament also used the platform to listen to grievances and suggested solutions from the constituents to help in pushing development forward.
