Chairman of the Committee on Education, Stevens Siaka has said when the House resumes on Tuesday the 30th of October 2018, it would invite sector Minister Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh to brief it on the brouhaha that had led to the closure of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
According to the chairman, the committee has not been formally informed about the happenings on KNUST campus and as chairman he is also hearing of the development from the media.
On the closing down of the University and the dissolution of the council he indicated that all Ghanaians should abide by law.
In an interview as to whether the committee would embark on a field trip to ascertain for themselves development on KNUST campus, he said no, but was quick to point out that after the briefing by the sector Minister if the need be the committee would embark on a trip there.
