The Member of Parliament for Effiduase-Asokore, Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie has assured residents of the constituency of his commitment to get the Ministry of Roads and Highways to rehabilitate the bad roads in the area.

This, he noted was to ensure residents get relief from the dust that they have had to grapple with daily in the constituency.

Roads connected to these areas – Daakoho, Mahineso, Aninya, Naama, Akokoaso and Ahinsan of Akwamu in Asokore are all in bad shapes making transport difficult for commuters.

Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie has however commenced reconstruction on the roads which includes a 7.5km Asokore to Ahinsan road, 3km Putrom to Senkyi and 2.5km Effiduase to Ntumkumso road.

Speaking with ghanamps.com, he indicated that, he was driven to reshape the deplorable roads due to the overwhelming support he enjoyed from the people of Effiduase-Asokore during the election that eventually elected him.

The chief of Maheniso, Nana Kwame Amofa commend the MP for his kind gesture, He claimed Dr. Ayew Afriyie is the second parliamentary candidate in the constituency to have initiated the reshaping of bad roads in the Akwamu area adding the roads have really affected the lives of residents in the communities.

Before the reconstruction of the roads, Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie had earlier initiated and funded constructions of KVIP toilet facilities in areas including Akuakrom, Senkyi, Attakrom and repaired boreholes in Seniagya and Asukoko, all in his constituency.

“My focus is to see to it that all the 44 towns in my constituency will have access to public toilets in the next decade, Schools with adequate infrastructure development and also set up fund for needy but brilliant students and ensure good health for all.”
