The Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Mike Hammah, has distributed 19 desk top computers to some Senior High Schools in Winneba to improve the knowlege of the students in the use of computers.
The Minister who is also the Member of Parliament for Effutu, procured the computers with his personal monies.
Schools that benefited from the MP’s kind gesture include A.M.E Zion Girls’ School , Winneba Senior High School, Nananom Senior School, H.S. Amissah Memorial Institute, Uncle Rich Senior High and Winneba School of Business.
Presenting the items, Mr Hammah noted that providing quality education is a huge task which cannot be done soley by the government and urged other stakeholders to partner and support the government in this regard.
Mrs Cecilia Coffie, the Head Mistress of Winneba Senior High School and Rev Mrs Helena S. Essien, the Head Mistress of Zion Girls, while receiving the equipments expressed their gratitude to the MP for the donation.
