The Minister of Land and Natural Resources, Mike Allen Hammah, has reiterated his call on Ghanaians to jealously guard the peace of the country to ensure that nation wreckers do not have their way to destabilize the state.
He said peace is important in the development of the society and therefore appealed to everybody to ensure its sustenance.
The minister who is also the Member of Parliament for Effutu constituency, made the call when addressing a national non-denomination prayer and thanksgiving service, Winneba.
The event was under the theme: ‘Peace, security and stability within your boundaries, Oh Ghana.’
Hon. Hammah appealed to the youth to disregard politicians who would try to use them to foment trouble in the upcoming December general elections to enable them secure their parochial interest only to dump them after the elections.
The Reverend Minister in charge of the Winneba Methodist Church Very Rev. Elder Bonney in a sermon called on Ghanaians to be tolerant of each other’s view and to ensure lasting peace and unity in the country.
