Mr.Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, Member of Parliament for Ellembelle, has admitted that the launch of the Youth Enterprise Support (YES) initiative by the President will revive projects, such as the ZOIL ECO BRIGADE, in order to give employment to the Youth.

According to him, the project is a viable one, as it ensures that sanitation is sustained at the beaches which pave way for safe oil and gas exploration.

Mr.Buah, who is also the Minister for Energy and Petroleum Resources, said this when he commissioned two aqua privy toilet facilities, built in two coastal communities, Nralekpole and Nralekyi in the Ellembelle District.

He was accompanied by the District Chief Executive (DCE), Mr. Daniel K.Eshun, and the NDC Constituency Organizer, Mr. Kwame Amossah, among other party members.

Mr Buah said the toilet facilities were crucial to the communities, as most of them defecate along the beaches, which pose danger to their health and other marine activities.

He advised the people to maintain sound hygienic behaviour, and keep their natural surroundings clean, to stem the outbreak of fatal diseases, like Cholera and Ebola, especially along the coast.

The MP also advised them that since cabinet has approved for an oil and gas harbour to be built in the coastal area of Ellembelle, to serve as the centre for oil and gas activities in West Africa, the indigenes could not afford to pollute the shores with faeces, and assured them that more toilet facilities will be built in other towns.

The Regent of Nralekpole, Nana Blay Buah, thanked Mr. Buah for his swift intervention to build the facilities when the community petitioned his office.

He said the facilities will be well maintained, to prolong their life span.

Mr. Eshun assured the people that government will bring more development projects to their doorsteps, and appealed to them to be a little patient..
