The Minister for Employment and Labour Relations and Member of Parliament for Wa Central, Dr Adbul Rashid Hassan Pelpuo, today joined the Duo Concept Foundation to mentor students from second cycle institutions from the Greater Accra region.
The Minster, who was the guest of honor at the opening of the GAWBOFEST, called on the students to make reading a habit. He also espoused the advantages of writing and expressed how poetry impacted his childhood and shaped his worldview.
The Deputy Director of the Parliamentary Broadcasting Department, Peter Azameti Bamfo, emphasized the importance of reading and urged the students to make it a habit.
Mr. Bamfo referred to laws that protect child rights and urged all to normalize the utilization of these to protect the youth.
The UPGirl Literary Project is one of the Duo Concept Foundation’s interventionist programmes aimed at empowering the youth to make informed decisions through knowledge acquisition and sharing.
