Chairman of the Finance Committee, Dr. Mark Asibey Yeboah has told Journalist that the committee is gathering information from the institutions that had appeared before them in the ongoing incamera probe.
According to the chairman the committee is not in any way inviting the collapse banks to appear before it.
And further added that the committee had asked for documents from the Bank of Ghana (BoG) and they have provided, “where we find gaps we have ask them to supply more documents and we would wait for them”, he said.
“After these three days exercise, we would piece all the information together and decide on the next step who to invite and what to do next”.
Dr. Mark Asibey Yeboah said, “if we want to do full scale public enquiry, we would do so now we dealing with the institutions everybody had the opportunity to ask question, without fear or favor”, he pointed out.
He made these remarks after the BoG appeared before the Finance Committee in camera, and the media was briefed on what have been taking place.
