Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta will present Budget Statement and Economic Policy of the Government for the year ending 31st December 2018 on Wednesday 15th November 2017.
Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and leader of Government Business, Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu made this known on the floor of the House when he presented business statement for this week on the floor of the House.

According to the leader of Government Business, leadership, chairpersons, vice chairpersons Ranking Members and their Deputies of committees with oversight over Ministries Department and Agencies (MDA) will attend a post budget workshop in the Eastern Region over the weekend.

He further noted that, standing order 140(4) “are to attend the post- budget workshop all the select committees and the following standing committees (i) Judiciary (ii) Special Budget (iii) Gender & Children, and (iv) Finance”.

He advised members to avail themselves for this important event which will enhance the capacity of MPs when it comes to consideration of estimates for the various MDAs’.

Meanwhile, ahead of the budget presentation, the Minority Leader Haruna Iddrisu and the Ranking Member of Finance Cassiel Ato Forson would hold a round table breakfast discussion on the 2018 budget and economic outlook on Monday 13th November 2017.
