The Ministry of Education have assured that Ghana Education Trust fund (GETfund) projects currently on-going in some schools in the Sunyani West District will be completed for use before the end of the year.

The schools are Sacred Hart Senior High, Chiraa Senior High and Odumaseman Senior High Schools.

The Deputy Minister of Education, Mahama Ayariga made this known in Parliament when he was answering a question asked by the Member of Parliament for Sunyani West, Ignatius Baffour Awuah as to when projects funded by the GETfund and initiated in December 2008 will be completed.

Hon. Ayariga said the construction of a dormitory block at the Sacred Hart School is about 89 percent complete; construction of a six unit classroom block is at 84% complete while the drilling of a borehole is 93% complete.

Again he noted that the 2-storey 12- unit classroom block at the Chiraa SHS is also 95% complete.

He however noted that there was no GETfund project initiated at the Odumaseman SHS before 2008. However in 2011 GETfund initiated the construction of an ICT center at the school which is about 30% complete.

He added that the above narrative indicates that the projects are on-coarse and that government was committed to ensuring the completion before the end of the year
