The Member of Parliament for Jauboso Constituency, Hon. Akandoh, Kwabena Mintah in pursuit of his objective of improving the quality of healthcare in his area has built a Community-Based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound in Nkyesikokoo community.

He said the health facility seeks to provide “close to client services” particularly to communities by actively engaging community members as partners in the delivery of health service.

Speaking to Ghanamps.gov.gh, Hon Akandoh stated that the project which cost over GHC5, 000 was constructed with funds from his share of the MPs Common Fund.

He noted, CHPS is a key component of other government policy agenda such as the Ghana Poverty Reduction Strategy (GPRS) which identifies CHPS as crucial element in the provision of Health Service.

Hon. Mintah Akandoh said the health of his people was very crucial in the development of the area, since a community can be built with only strong and healthy people hence his commitment to boosting healthcare.

He expressed his gratitude to the Nkyesikokoo community for the trust and confidence they have reposed in him, adding “I am fully conscious of the expectations of our people and I pledge to work with a sense of urgency and remain sincere and truthful at all times” Hon. Akandoh emphasized.
