Blunt-speaking New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong has hinted that he will form his own political party if the NPP National Chairman Jake Otanka Obetsebi-Lamptey re-claims his seat in the impending national elections of the party.

The largest opposition party is slated to hold its election on March 1, 2014 to elect new national executives to lead the party to the 2016 general elections.

The tough-talking MP who recently accused the national executives of thievery made his intention known on Adom FM’s “Burning Issues” on Monday, accusing the current executives of woefully failing to win electoral victory for the party in the last two general elections.

He expressed his commitment to ensuring that the present executives lose their seats saying that “I am setting aside $20 million to tour the whole of the country to campaign against all the current national executives,” he said.

Kennedy Agyapong who is said to be one of the major financiers of the party said he was surprised that the national executive could not secure enough funds to pay delegates in the just ended regional elections, resulting in them being leaving them stranded after the elections at their various polling stations.

He called for fresh leaders in the character of Hon.Dan Botwe and Mr Agyenim Boateng who worked tirelessly to bring the party back from opposition, he was nonetheless confident that the current national executives can make it if only they could stop the ongoing Allan-Nana politics that is threatening the unity of the party.
