The Member of Parliament for Adenta, Kojo Adu-Asare says he is confident of retaining his position as the Parliament candidate for the area.

According to him, the trust that has been reposed in him by the party delegates will translate into massive votes to ensure his victory.

The ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) will this weekend hold elections across the country in constituencies where there are sitting Members of Parliament.

The MP was in the news recently after he rescinded his earlier decision not to seek re-election as according to him his primary aim of contesting the for the constituency seat was to wrestle it from the opposition NPP which he successfully did.

Speaking on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo Thursday, the affable MP stated that he has effectively delivered his mandate as an MP with the many developmental projects that he has brought to area and he is certain that these among other factors will win him the seat.

He dismissed the assertion that the six other aspirants competing with him was a pass of no confidence in him, adding that rather his efficiency has made the work of an MP appear very simple such that others also want try it.

Hon. Adu-Asare urged the delegates to rally behind him so that he consolidates the gains made in the Adenta constituency.
