Wing Commander Francis Kabenla Anaman (Rtd), Member of Parlaiment for Jomoro, has presented a Toyota Land Cruiser pick-up to the Tikobo No. 1 Police Station in the Western Region for effective patrol duties and administration.
The MP obtained the vehicle from the Police Administration and presented it on behalf of the Inspector General of Police.
Wing Commander Anaman appealed to the police to be proactive in the discharge of their duties and not rely only on receiving complaints from the people.
He appealed to the Chief of the town, Nana Namuah Ackah Arize II, to release land for the construction of a permanent police station and modern barracks for the police.
Wing Commander Anaman also presented a heavy-duty mower to the Tikobo No. 1 Health Centre and two sets of footballs and jerseys to the two local teams.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Charles Mensah, Acting Jomoro District Police Commander, received the key to the vehicle while Safohene Francis Siah received the footballs and jerseys on behalf of the chief and promised to release land for the construction of the police station.
Mr Sylvester Daddieh, Jomoro District Chief Executive, said the government was doing its best to equip the police and other security agencies to enable them to offer quality service to the people.
