The Member of Parliament for Komenda-Edina- Eguafo-Abriem, Stephen Nana Ato Arthur has donated bags of cement to some selected school and churches in his constituency.
The 500 bags of cement were distributed to the various institutions based on their needs.
Among the beneficiaries include the Abream Saaman Primary School, Komenda College of Education, Abream Breasa Catholic church and Musama Disco Christo Church. The MP who was also a former Central Regional Minister noted that most of the beneficiaries are putting up new buildings and the cement is to ensure speedy completion of the structures. The rest are however renovating existing blocks to make the school blocks safer for students.
According to him, educational infrastructure has been identified as one of the challenges confronting the sector and all stakeholders must be concerned to finding lasting solution it. He indicated that he is motivated that good classroom blocks will provide conducive environment for serious teaching and learning to take place.
Mr Arthur also pledged his commitment to collaborate with all stakeholders in diverse ways to developing education in the area as a way of developing better and well equipped human resource for sustainable socioeconomic development.
He urged the two churches to continue to pray for Ghana especial for continues peace and tolerance.
