The Member of Parliament for Kintampo South Hon. Yaw Effa-Baafi has funded an electricity extension project for one of the Community Based Health Planning Services (CHPS) in his constituency.

According to the MP in an interview with Ghanamps.gov.gh, the project was to bring healthcare to the doorsteps of the people.

He said that the CHPS compound was previously hosted in a rented apartment and in order to reduce cost and provide effective healthcare there was the need to provide a permanent place for them to enable the health personnel to discharge their duties as expected.

He said the permanent structure has no electricity so he contractored an electrical engineer to connect the facility to the national power grid.

Hon. Effa-Baafi added that more than 6 communities including Ohine-Embisa and Aboabu are expected to benefit from services rendered at the CHPS compound.
