The Member of Parliament for Asokwa, Maxwell Kofi Jumah has ridiculed President Mills’ State of the Nation address, last Thursday, saying it was an expression of the President’s state of mind.

According to the MP, President Mills in his State of the Nation address used the all important ceremony to attack New Patriotic Party flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo for his “all die be die” comment and throw insinuation for propaganda purposes.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Monday, the Asokwa MP who is also the former mayor of Kumasi said he found it weird that President Mills found it more important to put the security agencies on “red alert” to arrest war mongers who attempted to disturb the peace and stability of the country instead of stating his future plans for Ghana.

Hon. Kofi Jumah said he expected President Mills to be more detailed on the District Assemblies which are development institutions in the country and the distribution of free school uniforms for basic schools among others which were all part of the promises that the President made during the last elections.

“ The core of the State of the Nation address was for President Mills to explain to the nation what he had been able to do out of his promises and how he intended to execute the rest to achieve his “Better Ghana Agenda”.
