The Majority Chief Whip, Rockson-Nelson Dafeamekpor, has advised the Minority Leader and the Minority Caucus to stop the long talk and press conferences and get to work where it matters most.
Responding to the Minority’s attack on the Tamale High Court Judge over the order for a re-run of the Kpandai PArlimentary election, Mr Dafeamekpor said the Minority lost the matter in court and are dazed by the outcome and are confused on what next to do.
“The battle ground is Kpandai, the battle ground for the re-run of this parliamentary election is not at the foyer of parliament or a long statement peddling or citing inaccurate facts, to the public, the job is on the ground.”
According to him, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is poised and busy on the ground campaigning, and working towards winning the seat; and that is what should occupy the Minority. “They won’t come to campaign and when they lose they blame innocent people”, he stated.
The South Dayi Member of Parliament also reminded the New patriotic Party that violent will not give them victory this time; rather decency, policy , promise of grater joy, promise of better management of the economy, and promise of better opportunity for the youth are things that can give victory.
He mentioned that for a long time of about 8 years, opportunities have now been given to the youth to join the various security services in large numbers, which was carried out through a competitive process, unlike in the past when recruitments were done at the blind side of the public.
